This is the message that is at the accident location along with flowers. I thank Marcia Swift for allowing God to use her to write these beautiful words:

So my soul longs for You, O God.
My soul thirst for God, for the living God;
When shall I come and appear before God?
Psalms 42: 1(b)-2

On the way home from Griefshare at Bellevue on Wednesday, September 26, Mr. Billy Penn did not arrive at his earthly dwelling but was transported to his final resting place, his Heavenly Mansion, prepared for him by our Heavenly Father.

A few minutes after 8:00 p.m., Billy was on Cordova Road, west of Germantown Road, driving in the East bound Lane when a Suburban driven by a 21 year old man, who was headed West bound in the East bound lane at a high rate of speed, hit Billy's car head on. Billy was immediately "absent from the body and present with our LORD."

Billy was a widower and a Christian with three grown Christian sons and 10 or 11 grandchildren. He was a special person to all of us in Griefshare. He often brought vegetables from the six plots he had a garden on at the Penal Farm.

Please be in prayer for his family.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
"I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me,
Thou rod and Thou staff they comfort me." Psalms 23:4

Please know that I will be praying for the Penn family for many days to come. Mr. Billy was a very sweet and kind person. He had a very big and caring heart. I was in the grief share class that he was also a part of. May the Lord comfort and carry you through the days ahead.

I came just for visitation but there was so many who came that they cut off the line for service to start. The line was certainly a great testimony of Billy's interaction with the lives of others.
To the Boys: I am a classmate of Billy's from Pharmacy 1963. You may remember my wife who was Coach Yancey's secretary at ECS.
I am so sorry for your loss but we know the Grace of God reigns supreme.

I was a classmate of Billy. At our last reunion at Paris Landing in 2008, your mother and father were there and seemed to enjoy the reunion. We stayed in touch with emailing class news/interests. I am truly sorry to hear this news. I know I can speak too for our pharmacy class in relating our sympathy to all of you.
