Krisztián Wray Montague

October 1, 1997 ~ October 25, 2018 (age 21)

Krisztián Wray Montague, age 21, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday evening, October 25, 2018 at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

A Funeral Service for Krisztián was held at 3 P.M. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Jimmy Moffit officiating. Personal remarks were given by Dr. Michael Kleinman, Huibo Shao and Al Helm. The song director was Nathan Green. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Krisztián was born October 1, 1997 in Budapest, Hungary. He was a citizen of both Hungary and the United States. Besides living in Hungary and the United States, he has also traveled to Vienna, Austria, Amsterdam, Holland, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Slovenia, the Eastern Italian Coast, Venice, Italy and Disney World in Florida. Krisztián attended the Somerville Church of Christ and Budapest Church of Christ. He enjoyed watching tv shows that included Elmo and Mickey Mouse cartoons and loved traveling and flying on airplanes, listening to music and collecting stuffed animal toys. He touched many lives on the mission field in Europe and beyond.

Krisztián is survived by his parents, Curry W. and Dora Beata Kardos Montague of Oakland, TN; two brothers, Mark W. Montague of Oakland, TN, Attila J. Montague of Oakland, TN; his grandparents, Curry Williford (C.W.) Montague of Somerville, TN and Dr. Janos and Maria Kardos of Sátoraljaujhely, Hungary; and a host of extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby Celeste Haase Montague who died February 13, 2017.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Casey Montague, Caleb Montague, Garrett Montague, Chris Peak, David Ulderich and Huibo Shao. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Weddle, George Adams, Al Helm, Darrel Beard, John Foster, Dr. Tim Montague, Andy Montague and Donnie Peak.
