Angela Yates Munoz

Angela Yates Munoz, age 58, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026, at her residence.

Angela was the daughter of James Doyle and Mary Riddle Yates. She attended Overton High School and continued her education at Memphis State University, where she graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She enjoyed her career with Hilton, where she took pride in her work.

Angela had a love for life and travelling and found happiness in the things that brought her joy. She especially loved her rescue dogs and cats, and her compassion for animals was evident in the care and affection she gave them. Favorite past times were visiting the beach in Orlando, Florida, dancing in New York, and she had a special appreciation for ballet and the beauty of dance.

Above all, Angela was a devoted, loyal, and supportive mother to her two sons, whom she loved deeply. Her family was an important part of her life, and she will be remembered for the love she gave them and the memories they shared.

Angela is survived by her husband, David; her two sons, David III and James; her parents, Mary and James Doyle; and her mother-in-law, Mary Carole Scott.

Memorial contributions in Angela's memory may be made to an animal rescue organization of the donor's choice, honoring her love and compassion for animals.
