Anna Marie German

Anna Marie Worrell German, age 75, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday morning, May 4, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Anna was born November 24, 1949 in Kenton, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Worrell and Vera Mai Robinson Worrell. She graduated from Bolivar Central High School in Bolivar, Tennessee Class of 1967 and continued her education at State Technical Institute in Memphis.

Anna was a homemaker throughout her life and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, her flowers and mowing the lawn.

Ms. German is survived by five sons, Ricky Sterling (Rachel) of Medon, TN, James “Bubba” Sterling (Terrie) of Medon, TN, Ronnie Hailey of Somerville, TN, Shane Sterling of Somerville, TN and Charles Conner of Somerville, TN; three sisters, Mary Jo Jackson of Rogers, AR, Kathy Lynn Sanny (Greg) of Gravette, AR and Joyce Faye Gelvin (Robert) of Covington, TN; her brother, Robert Coleman Warrell of Henning, TN; thirteen grandchildren, Rebecca Sterling of Bruceton, TN, Anna Sterling of Medon, TN, Megan Sterling of Middleton, TN, Jessica Halie Hill (Mathew) of Silerton, TN, Alexx Sterling of Medon, TN, Addison Sterling of Medon, TN, Austin Clark of Somerville, TN, Haley Hailey of Somerville, TN, Gavin Hailey of Drummonds, TN, Kloe Hailey of Munford, TN, Caleb Quinn of Lake Charles, LA, Jacob “Swaye” Conner of Somerville, TN and Kaitlyn Conner of Somerville, TN; and six great-grandchildren, Cambria, Chandler, Sofie, Bentley, Emory and Oaklynn.

In addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Dale Worrell.

A visitation for Ms. German will be from 3 to 4 P.M. Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 4 P.M. Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will include Trent Moss and Drey Jeter.
