He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ellen Gary Terhune; his children, Matthew (Grace) Terhune, Jason (Rebecca) Terhune, Jessica (David) Anderson, and Andrew (Cassie) Terhune; his sister, Gloria F. Melton; his brother, Alan (Carolyn) Terhune; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild (and one on the way); and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A lifelong Memphian, he graduated from Central High School in 1965 where he was Captain of the football team. He received a Bachelor of Science from Memphis State University in 1969.
He started Glenn Terhune Plumbing nearly 50 years ago, where he was respected by employees, customers and colleagues.
He served faithfully as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Fisherville for over 30 years.
Glenn was a huge fan of the Memphis Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. He was an avid reader who loved history and poetry. He enjoyed traveling the world on cruises with Ellen. There was nothing he treasured more than being surrounded by his family and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Fisherville Church in Eads, TN on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial and a luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, or the First Baptist Church Fisherville benevolence fund in Glenn’s memory.
Though Glenn's earthly journey has ended, his legacy will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
