Aubrey Clinton Green, age 82, known as “Big A”, and also known for his stylish mustache, went to be with our Lord on January 29, 2026, after a brief stay in the hospital. He was the son of the late Curtis and Gertrude Kelley Green. Aubrey was the husband of 35 years to the late Nan Carkeet Green and was an active member of Somerville First Baptist Church since he was twelve years old.

Aubrey graduated from the Fayette County School in 1964 and the Donelson Police Academy in 1976. He worked for the Fayette County Sheriff's Department for twelve years, the Tennessee Patrol for sixteen years, and the Wilder Youth Development Center for three years. He also served in the National Guard for six years. Aubrey was active at the Ames Plantation for over forty three years where he enjoyed the field trials, horses and meeting the handlers and owners of the dogs. He also enjoyed the hunting club where he developed many friendships. Aubrey enjoyed attending horse shows, going to Shelbyville for the Mule Celebration and Uncle Dave Macon Days in Murfreesboro, TN. He loved horses, carts, buggies, and carriages. Aubrey enjoyed old country music, and all of the western shows he could watch on television. He was a die-hard Tennessee Volunteer fan whether they were winning or losing. Go Vols!

Aubrey is survived by his children, Jen Kee (Mike) of Somerville, TN, Kelley Green (Dina) of Somerville, TN, Barbara Laird (Tim) of New Jersey, PA, and Amy Milam (Tony) of Memphis, TN; his five grandchildren, Madison Foley (Sean), Dustin Kee (Addy), Nikki Green, Colby Kee (Cayley) and Austin Green (Kat) and his three great grandchildren, Chesleigh, Rhett and Finleigh.
