Billie Sue Roberts

Billie Sue Roberts of Eads, Tennessee passed away March 20, 2026 at NHC Somerville. She was born January 26, 1945 in Woodland, Mississippi to the late Leslie William and Susan Alice Hill. She graduated from Southside High School in Memphis in 1962. She worked as a manager for Sodexo Food Service and drove a school bus for Harding Academy for over 25 years where everyone loved “Ms. Billie.”

She was married in 1962 to Paul Dale Roberts, Sr. They were married for 50 years until his death in 2017. She was the mother to sons Paul D. Roberts, Jr. (Kathy) and Dennis Roberts (Susan), and her daughter, Paula Billings (David).

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, sisters Clara Bullard, Bernice Shelton, Betty Jo Whitt, Glenda Kinney, and her brother, W.L. Hill. She is survived by her sister and best friend, Donna “Sissy” Reed (Dennis), brother-in-law Ronald Kinney, her children, grandchildren Heather Ivan, Nicholas Roberts, Rebecca Kimbrell, Julie Roberts, and Connor Billings, 9 great grandchildren, and and 4 great-great grandchildren. She loved her family and family gatherings, and she will be missed by so many people that loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Peebles West Funeral Chapel with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Harding Academy.
