Brandon Kyle Mayo

Brandon Kyle Mayo, age 28, resident of Marion, Arkansas, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Bryant Keith Mayo and Terra Lynn Howell. Brandon was a charismatic and respectful young man with a kind heart and a giving spirit. He was the type of person who would do anything he could for anyone in need. Those who knew him will remember him for his good-hearted nature, his willingness to help others, and the genuine way he cared for the people around him.

Above all, Brandon adored his daughter, Violet Reese. She was the light of his life and held a very special place in his heart. His love for her was evident in the joy and pride he found in being her father, and the memories they shared will be treasured always.

Brandon attended Kingsbury High School and later worked as a clerk in the retail industry. In his free time, he enjoyed gaming on his X-Box and watching wrestling. He found enjoyment in the simple things in life, but his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.

He is survived by the mother of his child, Jada Newcomb; his beloved daughter, Violet Reese Mayo; his mother, Terra Gourley; his step-father whom raised him, Adrian; two brothers, Bryant Keith Mayo II and Hunter Gourley; and his two aunts, Bobbie Carter (Don) and Katrice Mayo.

In addition to his father, Bryant Keith Mayo, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Faye Wolford, and paternal grandparents, Donald and Mildred Gourley.

Brandon will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His kind heart, giving spirit, and love for his daughter will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Memorial Services for Brandon will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2026, at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the chapel. Interment will be private. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Bailey, Jaylon Dotson, Sean Albritton, Kevin Fielder Jr., Kameron Jackson, and Dorin Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial account in honor of his five year old daughter, Violet Reese Mayo. Donations may be made at any of the locations of The Bank of Fayette County.
