Listen to Obituary

Charlene Ann Fisher Storck, beloved wife of Joel Storck, went home peacefully to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, February 15, 2026 surrounded by family, a lifelong friend and her pastors.

Charlene was born on June 24, 1960, in Lynwood, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jeanette Fisher.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, Joel Storck of Collierville, Tennessee, and their daughter, Emma Grace Storck, who was the joy of her life.

Charlene is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-n-law Erwin and Myrna Storck of Rossville, Tennessee.

Charlene is survived by her brother, George Fisher and his wife, Donna, of Dyer, Tennessee; her niece, Nicole Mathis and her husband, Chad, of Trenton, Tennessee, and their children, Case, Colbie, and Lily; her nephew, Jonathan Fisher of Phoenix, Arizona; and her niece, Caitlyn Harris and her husband, Colton, of Humboldt, Tennessee, and her children, Leonidas Stokes, Theseus Stokes, Beckett Lacey, and Nico Harris.

She is also survived by her sister, Pam Bell, and brother-in-law, Russell, of Dyer, Tennessee; her niece, Michelle Joyce and her husband, Dylan, of Dyer, Tennessee, and their children, Walton and Grace.

Charlene loved her family in Dyer and adored her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She is survived by her brothers-and sisters-in-law and their families; Jill Richards and her husband, Michael, of Chesapeake, Virginia; her niece, Kaitlin Martin and her husband, Drew, of Chesapeake, Virginia, and their children, Jaxson, Haddon, and Avalyn; and her niece Kara Richards of Norfolk, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Connor Richards; Jeff Storck and his wife, Lisa, of Rossville, Tennessee; her nephews Caleb Storck and his wife, Jenna, of Columbia, Mississippi, and their daughter, Miller Margaret; Colton Storck and his wife, Belle of Gluckstadt, Mississippi; Jon Storck and his wife, Jen, of Sunnyside, New York; her nephews, Jon “Bud,” Walter, and West.

Charlene went to Rutherford High School in Rutherford, TN. She was a natural leader, voted “Most Talkative”, was a high school cheerleader and served on the annual staff. She was popular at the high school and loved her classmates many of whom she was friends with throughout her life. Charlene attended Jackson State Community College in the radiology program but soon discovered her true calling was serving others.

She worked for more than 25 years at Corky’s Bar-B-Q, where she met Joel. They were married in November 2002. In 2014, Charlene and Joel were blessed with their daughter, Emma Grace. Charlene retired that same year to be a stay-at-home mom and care for her daughter. She cherished being Emma’s mother, which brought her immeasurable joy.

Charlene loved children and devoted much of her life to caring for and teaching them. She worked as a substitute teacher at Westminster Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, and faithfully served at Harvest Church in Germantown, Tennessee, where she taught in the PDO and children’s ministry. She also volunteered on the church security team. Serving others—especially children—was her joy and passion.

She maintained a lifelong friendship of over 60 years with her dear friend, Regena Bearden of Memphis, Tennessee, who faithfully remained by her side to the very end.

Charlene loved the ocean and treasured many beach trips with family and friends. She also loved her neighbors in her cove, which she considered family. She was known for her contagious joy, optimism, kindness, and thoughtful care for others.

Charlene loved her family at Harvest Church in Germantown, and her life was marked by sincere faith in Jesus Christ. Her love for Jesus deepened over the years, and she remained faithful to the end.

One of her favorite passages was 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18: “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Charlene modeled these verses throughout her life and her eight-month struggle with cancer. Though she will be greatly missed, we rejoice in the promise of I Thessalonians 4:14, 18: “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus….Therefore comfort one another with these words.”
