Cindy Ruth Cleven Hensley 

March 6 1957 - January 26 2026

Cindy Hensley passed away on January 26, 2026, in Memphis, TN after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Fayette and Shelby Counties, only leaving the area to serve her country in the United States Air Force. She had a strong family history in Fayette County and that she took great pride. She enjoyed genealogy research and logged so many Fayette County cemeteries for future research for others. She loved to read and collect great books, sharing with others, and starting her own little free library in her yard. She enjoyed all genres of music and shared that passion with all she knew. She could crochet the most beautiful things, a self taught passion. She loved animals and gave her love to so many fur babies in her lifetime. She truly enjoyed gardening, whether fruit and veggies or beautiful flowers. She had a green thumb for sure!

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethena Parelee Stainback; grandparents, George and Ruth Stainback; and her big brother, James Daniel "Danny" Baker.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachael Doyle (Adam); son, Daniel Hensley; grandson, Addison Doyle; sister in Law, Mary Ann Baker; nieces, Tinia Baker Carpenter (Michael), Candace Baker Cleveland (Nick), and Jamie Baker Webb (Quentin); great nieces, Rachel Carpenter, Brooklyn Wegenke, and Bella Cleveland; great nephew, Brian Enlow Jr. (Autumn); great nephew, Callum Webb, one great-great niece, Riley Enlow; many beloved cousins, and her dear friend, Cliff Emery.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. In memory of her, read a great book and listen to an awesome song.
