It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved, Clarence Edward Bowers, who left us on January 28, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on April 16, 1933, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Clarence is survived by his step-children, Lynn (Candy) Sanders, Eads, TN, Janice Sanders, Memphis, TN, and Jeff (Pam) Sanders, Brighton, TN, as well as seven step-grandchildren and a host of step great-grandchildren. He leaves behind friends and loved ones who will forever treasure his memory. Clarence will be remembered for his dedication to his country and the 23 years of service he gave to the United States Air Force and the United States Army. Most of all, he will be remembered for is unending love and dedication to his wife, Janice Juanita (Nita) Bowers.
Clarence was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Janice Juanita (Nita) Lyles Bowers, his step-son, Joe Frederick Sanders, his parents, Fred Bowers and Minnie Winchester Bowers, his four brothers, Fred Bowers Jr., Marshall Cole bowers, Harold Warren Bowers, and Lloyd Eugene (Joe) Bowers.
A celebration of Clarence's life will be held at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN at 11, Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026 at the Rotunda. Clarence's legacy will continue to inspire and guide all who were privileged to have known him.
