Cynthia "Erin" Canady

Erin Canady, age 39, a resident of Oakland, TN, passed away on November 25, 2025. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and was a high school graduate.

Erin was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her son, Kayden Thearp, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Erin was a member of the Oakland Church of Christ, where she found comfort, fellowship, and strength in her faith.

She is survived by her son, Kayden Thearp; her parents, Carol Mitchell and Clay Canady, Sr. (Barbara); two sisters, Brittany (Daniel) Watkins and Paige (Tyler) Browning; one brother, Clayton (Kate) Canady; her grandfather, Gene Jenkins; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Dani Watkins, Mabry Browning, Lennox Canady, Porter Canady, Briggs Browning, Nolan Canady, and Bryer Watkins.

She was preceded in death by the father of her son, Ben Thearp; her grandmother, Opal Jenkins, and paternal grandparents, Billy and Peggy Canady; and step-father, Mike Mitchell. 

Services to honor Erin's life will be announced by the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville.

Erin's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
