Deborah Loraine Wagner

Deborah Loraine Caldwell Wagner was born on November 30, 1962, in Calhoun City, Mississippi, to Manley and Beatrice Caldwell. Debbie journeyed through life with a remarkable spirit and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She passed away on February 11, 2026, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi.

Debbie’s younger years took her through Magnolia Heights High School and Northwest Community College, where she laid the groundwork for a life dedicated to service and leadership. A remarkable part of her career was her role as an elected auditor for the county government where she was able to showcase her commitment to the community that she cherished deeply.

She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Jessica, who was the light of her life. Debbie made it her mission to fill Jessica's life with unforgettable moments. She poured her heart into being present for every important moment in Jessica's life, ensuring that each birthday, accomplishment, and milestone was celebrated with love and pride. Debbie’s sweet spirit was always evident as she cheered on Jessica during sports events--the warmth of their bond was palpable.

Debbie was a devoted Christian who centered her life around faith. She had an incredible ability to accept people for who they were. She enjoyed camping, shopping, and embarking on road trips. It did not matter if she was going to see her family, enjoying fun times with her girlfriends or simply take in the sights along the way-- she was always ready to go! Her loyalty as a Steelers fan was well-known among her friends and family, but the love she had for her dog Teddy is what most people will definitely remember. He was more like a son to her and they had a special bond. The heart of her home was her kitchen, where she thrived on creating delicious meals and trying new recipes. The peanut butter pies that she made when visiting her family will forever be linked to times filled with love and laughter.

To those lucky enough to know her, Debbie was an exceptional listener and always a phone call away. She transformed every birthday into a special occasion, decorating with balloons and taking the time to acknowledge the significance of these moments in the lives of those around her. Her creativity blossomed through her love for crafting and was especially evident in her enthusiasm for places like Hobby Lobby. She loved planning the next project that would bring joy to others. Her love for creativity was evident in every detail of her life. She made it a priority to celebrate life's big moments, never forgetting an important date or special occasion.

Debbie is survived by her beloved daughter, Jessica Wagner; her parents, Manley and Beatrice Caldwell; her brother Ronald Caldwell (Janet), and her adored pets Teddy and Molly. She was preceded in death by her husband Jeffrey Wagner and daughter Rachel Wagner, whose memories will forever hold a special place in the hearts of family and friends.

Debbie’s legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and dedication. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
