Diana Lynn Gwin

Diana Lynn Gwin, age 72, resident of Somerville, TN, departed this life on Sunday afternoon, August 2, 2026 at Baptist- East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Diana was born on November 20, 1953 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of A.W. Robinson and Mary Keith Robinson. She graduated from Frayser High School in 1971. She was later employed by Schering Plough for many years prior to her retirement. On May 30, 1973, she married the love of her life, Buddy Gwin, and together they shared 51 years of marriage. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Diana will fondly be remembered as being a loving and devoted Mother and "Mawmaw." She had a love for music, especially the Beatles and Air Supply. Together, Diana and Buddy were founding partners of the Oldies but Goodies Cruising Car Club of Memphis, Tennessee. Some of her favorite past times were dancing at the Oldies but Goodies Cruising Car Club and going to the lake house and spending time with family. Fond memories with Diana were attending Bellevue Baptist Church's Singing Christmas Tree plays, but the greatest of all, were memories of her sitting in her chair doing her hair and makeup. 

Mrs. Gwin is survived by her life-long love, Buddy Gwin of Somerville, TN; two daughters, Alisa Gwin of Somerville, TN and Tina Gwin of Somerville, TN; one son, Bryant Gwin Sr. of Somerville, TN; one sister, Michelle Burns of Clifton, TN; eleven grandchildren: Anna, Jacob, Kayla, Taylor, Kari, Joseph, Jeremiah, Matthew, Bryant, Jr., Christopher and Ariana; and six great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Robinson.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Gwin will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2026 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment following at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Somerville, TN. A visitation for Mrs. Gwin will be from 11:00 until 1:00PM.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joseph Wade, Jeremiah Wade, Matthew Wade, Josh Burns, Jacob Gwin, and Taylor Napper. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bryant Gwin, Jr.
