Donald Jay Stiffler, age 85, Husband of the late Vann Stiffler, resident of Olive Branch, and United States Veteran, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025.

He was born in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania to the late Rubin and Edith Stiffler.

Donald graduated from Camden McKinley High School and went on to proudly serve his country, dedicating four years to the United States Army and two years to the United States Navy. Donald worked in construction for fifty years and retired in 2015.

On May 7, 1966, Donald married the love of his life, and together they built a family and a life rooted in love, faith, and commitment. Donald was also an avid member at Hope Baptist Church.

His hobbies included puzzling, fishing, building and painting bird houses, and enjoying the outdoors.

Donald will be remembered for his devotion to family, his service to his country, and the kindness he shared with everyone who knew him.

Donald is survived by his two sons, Steve Stiffler (Sandy) of Holly Springs; Mike Stiffler of Aurora, CO; two sisters, Wilda Meiser of Ohio and Lorraine Stiffler of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother, Steven Stiffler (Florida), and two grandchildren, Tommy and Cameron Stiffler. Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Vann Stiffler; one sister, Ann Stiffler, two brothers, Thomas and Stanley Stiffler.

Services for Mr. Stiffler will take place on Saturday morning at 11 at the Peebles West Chapel at Oakland. Interment will follow with military honors at the Fayette County Memorial Park at Oakland. Those honored to serve pallbearers are Steve Stiffler, Cameron Stiffler, Tommy Stiffler, Mike Stiffler, Ronnie Rhodes, and Landyn Rhodes. Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Gary Higgins and Chuck Justice.

Donald’s legacy of faith, service, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
