Donnie Jean Kennon

Donnie Jean Kennon, age 84, a longtime resident of Rossville, Tennessee, passed away on February 7, 2026, at Pine Meadows Nursing Home.

Donnie was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late James and Lydia Callicutt. She attended Collierville High School and later married the love of her life, Reuben Kennon. Donnie devoted many years of service as a secretary, working faithfully for Farm Bureau Insurance and Grady Morris & Son.

In her free time, Donnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved fishing, tending to her garden, and spending time with her dogs-especially her beloved companion, Squirrel. Family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Kennon (Regenia); her brother, Leslie Callicutt; seven grandchildren, Brandon Kennon, Colby Kennon, Dustin Kennon, Lashelle Gandy, Jackie Gandy, David Gandy and Kayleigh Hogue; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; and her cherished dog, Squirrel.

In addition to her parents, Donnie was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Kennon, and her son, Doug Kennon.

Services for Donnie Jean Kennon will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasants Christian Church in Williston, Tennessee. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Rossville, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
