It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Ruble, age 87, on March 4, 2026. Doris, a devoted wife, mother, and "Granny," will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends for her gentle, kind and sweet spirit.

Born on May 8, 1938, in the Rep. of Panama, Doris graduated from Balboa High School in 1955. She married the love of her life, John Ruble, on July 3, 1959, sharing 62 years of marriage. Together they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and compassion. Doris, having a passion for numbers, dedicated much of her professional life to accounting, a field in which she thrived until her retirement in 1995.

Throughout her life, Doris was known for her remarkable talents in sewing, often crafting beautiful clothes for her children and she will be remembered for her award-winning Halloween costumes she made for her children. She had a love for knitting, needle point, quilting, ceramics and decorating cakes. Her children have fond memories of often walking into their home and smelling the aroma of freshly baked pound cakes. Doris also had a love for reading old books and magazines.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Nora Hope (Eddy) of Eads, TN, and Leisa Johnston (Jeff) of Memphis, TN, along with her beloved brother, Armando Coto of Columbia. She will be forever remembered by her four grandchildren, Russell Patton (Jonadel), Cade Patton (Karsen), Cristina Patton (Daniel), and Laura Benner (Robert), along with her five cherished great-grandchildren: Cade Patton, Derek Benner, Alyssa Benner, Brooks Patton, and June Patton. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, John Ruble; her son, John "Buddy" Ruble; her sister, Dalva Cernuda; her brother, Manuel Arosemena; her parents, Manuela Coto and her beloved stepfather, Pablo Coto.
