DR. FRANK JOSHUA HALL, JR., 84, well-known area dentist for over 50 years, 4th generation Memphian, beloved husband of the late June Grace Hall, beekeeper and friend to many, died October 9, 2007. He was 84 years of age.


Funeral services for Dr. Hall were conducted 2 P.M. Thursday, October 11th at Independent Presbyterian Church in Memphis where he was a member with Rev. Bryant Hansen officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the Hickory Withe Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home-Main Chapel of Somerville.
Dr. Hall had formerly served as an elder at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis for many years and later served as an elder at Hickory Withe Presbyterian Church.


Dr. Hall had been a resident of Fayette County for over two decades and was a United States Army Veteran, a Memphis Rotarian, and a member of the Memphis Speakers Club where he was past President of the organization. Dr. Hall was a member of the American Dental Association and was past president of the American Physiological Dental Association.


Dr. Hall is survived by two daughters: June Hall Dixon (Cornelius) of Grand Junction, Susan Hall Wilson (John Charles) of Arlington; three sons: Frank Joshua Hall, III (Sonja) of Dallas, TX, William Holt Hall (Kay Doler) of Hickory Withe and Marcus Delafayette Hall of Cheyenne, WY; his sister: Sandra Hall Warlick of Germantown; 10 grandchildren: Janet Dixon O'Brien, Ivy Dixon Richards, Natalie Montgomery Wilson, Samuel Young Wilson, Katherine Ann Hall, Mary Rachel Hall, Amanda Holt Hall, Sara Elizabeth Hall, Frank Joshua Hall, IV, Jorja Grace Hall and 6 great-grandchildren.


Those honored to serve as casketbearers were: David Givens, Tim O'Guin, Max Patterson, Daniel Warlick, David Warlick, Hall Warlick, Hugh Warlick and John Webb.


Honorary Casketbearers were: Denby Brandon, Robert Coursey, Dr. David Rowe, Dr. Robert Ruch, Jack Schaarf and Hulon Warlick.
