Eddie Randall Day

Eddie Randy Day, age 74, resided in Oakland, TN. Eddie passed away February 11, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Eddie was born on December 9, 1951, in Texas. After high school, Eddie attended Lamar University and obtained his bachelor’s degree. He then started his career in law enforcement and loss prevention. He was employed with the Tupelo, MS DEA, CVS, and AutoZone.

Eddie lived in many parts of the world. He resided in Hattiesburg, MS, Collinsville, IL, Eads, TN, Fairhope, AL, Petal, MS, Columbus, MS, and Memphis, TN. Eddies hobbies included but was not limited to traveling the world with his wife, Deborah, and spending time with family and friends as much as possible.

Eddie married the love of his life in 1998, Deborah Gatlin. Although they had no children together, he played a major role in Deborah’s sons’ lives, Matthew and Greg Fitzsimmons. Eddie attended Fayette Baptist Church until his health prevented him from doing so.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Deborah Gatlin Day, and his and his stepsons, Gregory and Matthew Fitzsimmons.

Eddie was proceeded in death by both his parents.
