James David Duggin, age 75, of Oakland, TN, passed away on November 23, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born July 20, 1950, in Jackson, TN, James was the son of the late James R. Duggin and Martha L. Sellars.

James graduated from Southside High School in Jackson, TN, in 1968. He later attended State Technical Institute in Jackson, TN, where he studied welding. He proudly worked as a welder and fabricator for many years before retiring in 2015.

He honorably served nearly four years in the United States Air Force.

James was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Diana Tatum, on August 7, 1987 for 38 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Tatum; two brothers, Jerry Duggin (Dottie) of Franklin, KY, and Harold Duggin (Vicki) of Jackson, TN; one brother-in-law, Wayne Tatum of Oakland, TN; one niece; and four nephews.

James will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his faithful military service, and his quiet strength.

A graveside service for Mr. Duggin will be at 1 Tuesday afternoon on December 9, 2025 at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
