Listen to Obituary

Jeremy Lee Proctor was born on June 20, 1975, the son of Virgil and Jan Proctor.

Jeremy was an accomplished Special Olympian. He could do any math problem put in front of him. In earlier years, Jeremy loved fishing and baseball. But the things he loved most were church and watching the Duke of Hazzard.

He loved anything to do with cows, particularly our favorite cow dog, Amos. Amos was his constant companion and protector.

At the age of 50, Jeremy left his old, battered body and went to meet Jesus at 12:15 AM on June 2, 2026.

  • No more seizures or pain.

  • No more mental handicap.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Marie Cothern, and Everett and Zetta Mae Proctor.

He leaves behind his parents, Virgil and Jan Proctor; 2 brothers, Jeff Proctor (Amy), and David Proctor (Nicki); and his nieces and nephews, Abby, Allie, Everett, Marshall, and Emma.
