Jerry Harris Featherstone, Sr., age 87, resident of Stanton, Tennessee, United States Navy Veteran, and beloved husband of Judy Featherstone, passed away at his residence.
Mr. Featherstone was born on January 17, 1939, in Giles County to the late Charles Craig Featherstone and Pearl Crumley Featherstone. On May 23, 1981, he married the love of his life, Judy Foster Featherstone, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and cherished memories.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years, a time that afforded him the opportunity to travel to places such as Japan and Hawaii. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a factory worker at Troxel in Moscow.
He found joy in the simple blessings of life—hunting, horses, and riding his four-wheeler. Jerry especially loved attending horse shows, where he proudly placed many times with his horses, Sultan and Booger J. In his later years, he treasured sitting on his porch, visiting with his family and grandchildren, and spending time with his lifelong friends, Roger and Loretta Solley. His greatest joy was the time he shared with those he loved.
Mr. Featherstone is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Featherstone; two daughters, Jackie Cobb (Errick) and Ashley Silas (Taylor); one son, Jay Featherstone; two sisters, Laura Carraway and Bonnie Featherstone; seven grandchildren, Robert Stewart, Krystal Grasham, Jason Featherstone, Damian Johnson, Codie Cobb, Easton Silas, and Riley Silas; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Tommie Pattat; and two brothers, CW Featherstone and Terry Featherstone.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Featherstone will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Bethlehem Hebron Church Cemetery, with Bro. Ryan Pattat officiating. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Taylor Silas, Errick Cobb, Codie Cobb, Jay Featherstone, Will Featherstone, and Steve Pattat. Honorary pallbearers will be Easton Silas, Riley Silas, and Roger Solley.
Mr. Featherstone’s legacy of love for his family, his faithful friendships, and his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
