John Fletcher Cocke

John Fletcher Cocke, age 85, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday evening, July 8, 2025 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Fletcher was born July 26, 1939 in Somerville, the son of the late John Cocke and Mary Odie Creasy Cocke. He served his country in the United States Army and was employed as a maintenance man for the Tennessee Department of Transportation before his retirement. He loved the Lord and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Fletcher honored his mother and father by caring for them in their later years.

Mr. Cocke is survived by four sisters, Becky Fowler (Dave), Jeanne Tapp (Joseph), Faye Brown and Ann Holden. In addition to hie parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Vaughn and Laura Price; two brothers, JT Adams and Lester Adams; and three brothers-in-law, Fred Brown, Jerry Holden and George Price.

Graveside Services for Mr. Cocke will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Lamb Cemetery on Highway 194 near Somerville with Bro. Ryan Pattat officiating.
