John David Herring, Jr., age 59, resident of the Gallaway Community, died Wednesday afternoon, October 25, 2017 at his residence.
Services and interment for Mr. Herring were private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Herring was born May 27, 1958 in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving back to Washington and receiving his Master’s Degree at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. He was employed as a social worker for many years. Mr. Herring was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed listening to sports radio, fishing and helping others.
Mr. Herring is survived by his mother, Faye Joann Herring of Eads, TN; his father, John David Herring, Sr. (Louise) of Lynden, WA; his sister, Laura Renken (Thomas) of Eads, TN; his brother, Jerry Herring (Kathleen) of Soldotna, AK; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
