Eads, Tennessee

Listen to Obituary

Judith F. Haynie of Eads, TN departed this world at the age of 84 on Monday afternoon December 2, 2025 to join her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ in His heavenly kingdom above. Her last days on earth were spent being cared for & comforted by her loving husband of 65 years, Richard C. Haynie, & her two devoted children, Rick Haynie & Jill Swinford. The three of them were by her side as she drew her last breath at 4:13 pm & entered into the gates of heaven.

Judy was born to Gladys Bailey Free & Raymond Free of Memphis, TN on February 16, 1941. She was the second of three children & had genuine love for her older brother, Ray, & younger brother, Kenny, who each passed away before her. Judy attended & graduated from Treadwell High School in Memphis with the love of her life, Richard (“Skipper”) Haynie. In total, they spent more than 70 years on this earth together (65 years married) & lived in the Memphis area for all of that time.

Throughout the years, Judy demonstrated that she was an extremely smart, competent, & hardworking employee, whether it was performing her duties as a secretary, an administrative assistant, a legal aid, a teaching assistant, or the position she held at Love Worth Finding Ministries before retiring to take on the role of full time grandma (“Nandee”) to her first grandson, Zachary M. Ross (Z-Man). The timing could not have been more perfect because soon thereafter, she welcomed her second grandson, Chase A. Ross (Chaser) into the world.

Whatever was asked of her, no matter who it was or what it was for, Judy ALWAYS gave every task 100%, especially for her family. She was an amazing daughter, loyal sister, nurturing aunt, friendly cousin, caring niece, devoted wife, loving mother, dedicated grandmother, & an encouraging friend to all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. This world is definitely going to feel the absence of her presence going forward.
