Kenneth Carl Ferge, Jr. 1974 – 2025
Kenneth Carl Ferge, Jr. (Kenny), age 51, of Somerville, passed away on November 7, 2025, at Hardin County Medical Center. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Kenny Carl Ferge, Sr. and Carolyn Ann Glover.
Kenny will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend. He is survived by his wife, Renee Matthews Ferge; his daughters, Rebecca Ferge (Anthony Hester), Hannah Kyle (Brody), and Cheyenne Ferge; his sons, Dalton Matthews, Payton Ferge, and Danny Ferge; his mother, Carolyn McClure; two sisters, Christina Tice and Amanda Tice; one brother, Timothy Tice; and his beloved fur babies, Jazebelle, Maybelle, and Dixiebelle.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Carl Ferge, Sr.; his stepfather, Clifton Tice; and his brother, Bobby Ferge.
Kenny’s life was marked by his deep love for family, his generous spirit, and his unwavering honesty. He was known for his hard work and for being a true friend to everyone he met. In his free time, Kenny loved spending time with his family at the river, where he found peace and joy in the simple moments together.
A visitation for Kenny will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 10:30 until 12:30 in the afternoon at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville, with John Reeves officiating. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in the Whiteville community. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joel Gambrell (Cornbread), Anthony Lawson, Hayden Ferge, Hunter Ferge, Jimmy Goodman, and Michael Matthews. Those honored to serve as honorary pallbearers will be John Ross and Brandon Boggs.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Kenny will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
