Margaret "Yvonne" Keough, age 87, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at NHC Healthcare in Somerville. She was born on August 7, 1938, in Stanton, Tennessee, to the late Joseph and Margaret Wright and was the oldest of six daughters.
Yvonne graduated from Bartlett High School in 1956. On May 25, 1957, she married the love of her life, John R. Keough. Together they shared a devoted marriage and built a loving family.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Parks (Billy) of Bartlett, Tennessee; her sons, David Keough (Bobbie) of Moscow, Tennessee, and Andy Keough of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and her sisters, Shirley Avant, Linda Hayes, and Evelyn Richardson. She was a beloved "Mammaw" to six grandchildren, Kara Gross (Michael), Kevin Keough (Jessi), Krista Parks, Brett Parks (Rachel), Callan Smith (Quad), and Carlie Keough, and was blessed with five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Keough; her parents, Joseph and Margaret Wright; her sister, Patsy Edwards; and her infant sister, Shelby Jean Wright.
A faithful Christian, Yvonne and John were dedicated members of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee. Her faith guided her life, and she never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others.
Professionally, Yvonne served as Vice President of Nucare Nursing Homes and later worked as a secretary for Youth Villages. She was admired for her dedication, compassion, and commitment to serving others.
Yvonne embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, crafting, and square dancing. Her greatest passion, however, was clogging. She was a longtime member of the Eads High Steppers and later formed and taught her own clogging group after moving to Arkansas. Through her love of dance, she built lasting friendships and shared countless happy memories.
Above all, Yvonne treasured her family and her faith. She will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, unwavering devotion to Christ, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
