Marvin Davis

Marvin Davis, age 86, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of the late Patsy Davis, departed this life Sunday evening, August 6, 2023 at his residence.

Marvin was born January 5, 1937 in Tuckerman, Arkansas, the son of the late Jess Davis and Bertha Osborne Davis. He attended Tuckerman Arkansas schools and lived in Fayette County since 1972. He was married to Patsy Davis on December 22, 1956 who preceded him in death in 2013. Marvin was an offset press operator for Paulsen Printing Company until his retirement. The best way to describe him was he was a “simple ole country boy”.

Mr. Davis is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Bullard (Jerry) of Oakland TN and Sandy Hinton of Oakland, TN; his sister, Gail Duncan (Skip) of Southaven, MS; his sister-in-law, Kathy Sharp of Florida; his brother, Jennings Davis (Ann) of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren, Ray Walker, Bo Walker (Carri), Joy Helton (Steve) and Victoria Oliver; and four great grandchildren, Tyler Walker, Adyson Walker, Reed Shupe and Hayden Koehler.

Graveside Services for Mr. Davis were held at 1 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.  Personal remarks were given by Yvonne Bullard, Mr. Davis’ daughter.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
