Marvin Lee Jordan was born on August 2, 1946, in Forsyth, Georgia, to John and Bessie Gresham Jordan. Marvin served in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for Protein Technologies as a Machine Operator for 20 years and at sporting goods stores.
Mr. Jordan was a member of the New Hope Christian Church and loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He also loved his family.
Marvin departed this life on Thursday, December 18th, 2025, at the Methodist LeBonheur Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee at the age of 79.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Kay) Jordan; two daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Hunter and Cheryl (Chris) Barnett; one son, Eric (Wendy) Jordan; his furbaby, Benji; and grandchildren, Madison (Sean) Taylor, Nick Jordan, Ashley (Dustin) Hopper, Austin Stewart, Garrett (Adia) Hunter, McKenzie Cratin, Jacob Jordan, Josh Hunter, Riley Barnett, and Brock Barnett.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie Gresham Jordan, and his brother, Frank Jordan.
Services for Mr. Jordan will be on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 1 PM at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland, TN. A visitation will be from 11-1 PM prior to the service on December 23, 2025. Interment will follow at the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery in Somerville, TN.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Hunter, Nick Jordan, Austin Stewart, Jacob Jordan, Ron Stewart, Josh Hunter, and Zach Hunter.
Memorials can be made to Wounded Warriors or the American Lung Association in Mr. Jordan's memory.
