Michele Lee Channell

Michele Lee Channell, resident of Memphis, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Baptist East Hospital.

Michele was born March 31, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas C. Channell Sr. and Vicki Channell. She graduated from Germantown High School and attended college at Memphis State.

Michele enjoyed her animals, music, movies and loved watching her daughter play sports. She loved her family and Elvis’s music. She was a part time comedian and loved to foster dogs.

Michele is survived by her daughter, Alana Shemwell (Luke), her parents, Vicki Channell and Thomas C. Channell Sr. (Cind); one brother Thomas “Clint” Channell Jr. and one grandchild, Bennett Shemwell. She was preceded in death by her longtime companion Alan Bennett and one brother, Jason Campbell Channell.

A visitation for Ms. Channell will be from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Peebles West Chapel at Oakland. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Peebles Funeral West Chapel with Bro. Alex Calderon officiating. Interment will follow at Fayette County Memorial Park at Oakland, Tennessee.
