Monica Michele Meyer, age 13, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025. She was born on
January 3, 2012, in Palmer, Alaska, to Jonathan and Deborah Meyer.
“For this child I prayed, and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.” 1 Sam
1:27
An angel sent by Heaven above to light the lives of all those she blessed with her presence, was
so loved while she was on this earth by everyone she met. And is loved now by those in Heaven,
and the same people with memories that will forever echo in their hearts, until the day of great
reunion.
She was compassionate to the “littles” or to those who struggled, sharing her kindness and smile.
A loving word of encouragement from her was medicine for the soul. It was most important to
her that she pleased her parents, and “as a child that is known by their doings” Monica was
known for her loving kindness and desire to do what was right.
The apple of her fathers eye, and his replica on so many things. She was diligent and excelled in
all things she did. Relentless in improving each day no matter the task set before her. Her will to
please her parents was only overcome by her love for them.
She was the mirror of her mother, in kindness, in gratitude, in selflessness, in gentleness, and
care. The epitome of southern hospitality. It pained her to think someone else was hurting. And if
there were a way, she would always see to it that person was comforted. A merry heart doth good
like a medicine, and she spread happiness with all those she met.
Her life honored her mother and father, and in so doing, the Lord. Pleasing to Him in the way she
committed herself to others her Lord received perfected praise of her life. As He says in Matt
21:16 “Out of the mouth of babes thou hast perfected praise“. Though missed, we know she is
safe in the arms of Jesus.
Though we cannot bring her back, we shall go to her. (2 Sam 12:23)
