Morris Lee Joyner, Sr., age 86, resident of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at Henry County Health & Rehab in Paris, Tennessee.
He was born at home in Williston, Tennessee, to Richard Cleveland Joyner and James Zethra Woodward. After graduating from high school, Morris proudly served in the United States Armed Forces.
Morris was married to Pamela Victoria Joyner (Hart), whom he is survived by.
He is also survived by four daughters, Cathy Gelvin Turnage (Gary), Brenda Joyner Dawson (Tony), Victoria Joyner, and Sabrina Hart (Stephen); two sons, Morris Lee Joyner, Jr., and Robert Gelvin; one brother, Hilliard Joyner; thirteen grandchildren, John Gelvin, Blake Joyner, Chelsea Bell (Trevor), Brianna Joyner, Brandon Joyner, Christina Joyner, Timmy Jones, Camilla Dawson, Lisa Moscon (Daniel), Kinsley Hart, Starlyn Hart, Sienna Hart, and Salem Hart; and seven great-grandchildren, Tori, Charli, Zoey, Leilani, Lilah, Lily, and Anna.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Henry Joyner, Vance Joyner, Herschel Joyner, Willard Joyner, and Wilbur Joyner; and three sisters, Gussie Spicer, Bertha Bobbitt, and Birdie Bobbitt.
Services for Mr. Joyner will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Peebles Main Funeral Home in Somerville, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Williston, Tennessee.
