Nellie Marie “Nell” Kennon, age 69, resident of Moscow, Tennessee, departed this life Wednesday morning, April 10, 2024 at her home.
Nell was born October 8, 1954 in Somerville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Thomas Leo Kennon and Verna Mae Hollida Kennon. She was employed at a Christian Camp as a kitchen manager and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Moscow. Nell will be remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother.
Ms. Kennon is survived by her daughter, Veronica Melendez (Daniel) of Moscow, TN; her son, Thomas A. Kennon of Moscow, TN; her brother, Tony Kennon (Tonya) of Moscow, TN; ten grandchildren, Danielle Harris (Noah), Justice Yeager, Marie Melendez, Isreal Melendez, Isabella Melendez, Natalia Melendez, Daniel Melendez, Tiffani Kennon, Leanna Potter and Nicholas Lewis; three great-grandchildren, Nolan Harris, Reed Holifield and Anna Harris; and three great-great-grandchildren, Weston, Gracie and Oakley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda C. Harris; her brother, Thomas Harold Kennon; and a set twin great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Ms. Kennon were held at 1 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Cross officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery at Moscow.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Isreal Melendez, Nolan Harris, Noah Harris, Nicholas Lewis, Kevin Joyner and Chris Potter. Honorary pallbearers included Charles Gurkin.
