Patricia Anne Pennington Phillips, resident of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away Friday morning, November 15, 2024, at Ciel Senior Living of Collierville.
Patricia was born February 27, 1950, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John D. Pennington and M. Maidell (Perkins) Pennington. She graduated from Overton High School in 1968 and received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Memphis in 1992. Patricia retired from MLG&W after thirty years and then went on to have another career with the Town of Collierville, where she retired as an accountant after eighteen years. In addition to her love of music and travel, she was passionate about animals, most specifically her Shelties. She was a long-time member of Getwell Church of Christ in Memphis.
Patricia is survived by her husband of forty years, Daniel P. Phillips, Sr., her two sisters, Anita L. Shepherd (Scott) of Southaven, Mississippi; Joni L. Carpenter (Wayne) of Ripley, Tennessee, and three stepchildren, Daniel P. Phillips, Jr. of Memphis, Melody B. Buss (Gary) of Eads, and Melissa P. Dambro (Dominic) of Collierville.
In addition to her parents, John and Maidell Pennington, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Stefan Barrett Stevenson.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Phillips were held at 11 A.M. with Brother Michael Wyatt officiating. Graveside Services followed at Memphis Memorial Gardens Cemetery on North Germantown Parkway in Bartlett.
