Patricia Kay Rutland

Patricia Kay Davis Rutland, age 68, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by her family on August 6, 2026.

She was born on January 7, 1958 in Hampton, Virginia to R.C and Jean Davis.

She graduated as Valedictorian from Leon Godchaux High School, and attended Louisiana College in Pineville LA. She married William “Mike” Rutland on August 6,1988 in Memphis, Tennessee where they made their home with their three children. Her biggest joys in life were being with her family, playing games, and crafting. She made many beautiful quilts and sewing projects for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Mike Rutland, parents R.C. and Jean Davis, and grandson, Mason Willoughby.

She is survived by her children, son Christopher (Emily) Hatchell, daughters Amy (Justin) Willoughby and Amanda (Jon) Green, grandchildren Emma Willoughby, Micah Green, Elsie Green, and Bennett Green, sister Debbie Roby and brother Mike (Kathy) Davis, and niece and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for Ms. Rutland will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in Patricia Rutland’s memory.
