Perry Franklin Goodman

Perry Franklin Goodman, age 76, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Saturday morning, April 26, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Perry was born July 26, 1948 in Walnut, Mississippi, the son of the late William Elzie Goodman and Leola Pearl Reaves Goodman. He graduated from Walnut High School in Walnut, Mississippi and from Memphis State University with his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He served four years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and had a career in accounting for over 30 years before his retirement. Perry loved crunching numbers and being a bachelor.

Mr. Goodman is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth Lynes and Anne Jackson; two brothers, William Price Goodman and Daniel E. Goodman (Diane); and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Harrison, Sue Marker and Irene Minyard.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Oakland First Baptist Church.
