Phillip M. Krumwiede, of Oakland, Tennessee, earned his Angel wings on July 4, 2025 at his home, with his wife, Carol and daughter, Wendy by his side. Phil was born in Sioux City, Iowa on November 30, 1947 to Fred and Leonne Krumwiede. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and soon to be great-grandfather.
Phil was in the trucking/transportation business for over 50 years when he retired. He was an avid NASCAR fan and every sport his kids and grandkids ever participated in. He spent his free time working in the yard, gardening, and working on his antique cars with his grandson, Logan. His favorite time was when he could spend time with his kids and grandkids, which were an important part of his life.
Phil is survived by his wife of over 60 years Carol, his son, Jeff (Jenny) Krumwiede; his daughter, Anne (Scott) Gray; his daughter Wendy (Darren) Feathers; and Barbara (Chris) Buck. He has six grandchildren, Drew Feathers, Taylor (David) Pencarinha, Logan Feathers, Josie Buck and Alexander and Michaela Gray. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Krumwiede and leaves behind his brothers, Barry Krumwiede, Brian Krumwiede, Dennis Krumwiede and sisters, Cheryl (Doug) Smith, Damaris Sutton and Gloria Simmons. He also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his stepmother, Bonnie Krumwiede.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the home of his daughter on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 with service to start at 3 P.M.
