Reggie Boring, aged 82, of Cordova, Tennessee, departed this life peacefully at home on Friday evening, January 2, 2026. Born May 4, 1943, in Rosenberg, Texas, Reggie was the son of C.H. Boring and Gertrude Dostal. He graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School and built a life defined by service, curiosity, and a lifelong love of aviation.

After retiring from FedEx, Reggie became a faculty member of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, serving as an Assistant Professor and Director of Academics, which allowed him to share his passion for and expertise in aviation with students for over 15 years. Reggie and his wife, Carolyn, also owned and ran several successful restaurant businesses in the Memphis area, including The Charcoal Pit, Mando's Italian, and The 49er.
Outside of work, Reggie enjoyed flying, woodworking, winemaking, and helping his wife with her many craft projects.
