Reta Joyce Anthony

Reta Joyce Anthony, age 76, a resident of Collierville, Tennessee, passed away on March 13, 2026 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

She was born in Collierville, Tennessee to the late Elton Anthony and Fairy Webb Anthony. Reta was married to the late Morris “Son” Anthony and spent many years working in the manufacturing industry producing outdoor supplies. She was known as a simple and kindhearted lady who found joy in the small things in life.

Reta loved animals, especially her beloved cat, Blackie. She treasured her church family and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to local stores where she could visit with friends and socialize with the people she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Ortega (Joaquin); two sons, Brian Anthony and Dennis Anthony; one sister, Regina Register; one brother, James Elton Anthony; and three grandchildren, Madison Ortega, David Anthony, and Natalia Ortega.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris “Son” Anthony.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Peebles West Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday evening, March 23, 2026 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Peebles West Funeral Chapel, with an additional visitation Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.

Interment will follow on family property.
