Reuben Douglas Kennon, Sr.

Reuben Douglas Kennon passed away peacefully at his home on April 30, 2025.

He was a loving family man that would do anything for anyone.

Reuben is survived by his wife, Donnie Kennon; his son, Rodney Kennon (Regina); grandchildren, Brandon Kennon (Jennifer) Colby Kennon (Jade) Dustin Kennon (Lacy) David Gandy, LaShelle Gandy and Jackie Gandy; ten great-grandchildren including Kaleigh Hogue; and six great great grandchildren.

He joined his oldest son, Reuben Douglas Kennon Jr. in God’s heavenly kingdom. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Kennon and Jessie Johnson Kennon.

Funeral Services for Mr. Kennon were held at 10 A.M. Friday, May 9, 2025 at Pleasants Christian Church with Bro. David Reeves officiating. He was assisted by Bro. James Weir. Interment followed in New Bethel Cemetery at Rossville.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Brandon Kennon, Colby Kennon, Dustin Kennon, Aiden Kennon, David Gandy and Colt Murphy.
