Ritha June Robison Gilliam

Ritha June Robison Gilliam, age 77, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Monday morning, December 12, 2022 at her home.

June was born June 25, 1945 in Ripley, Tennessee. She lived in Ripley for a while among other places before settling down in Oakland. She was a mother, caregiver and homemaker all of her life. Ms. June loved to cook, do crafts, knitting and shopping. She loved people and animals, especially “Tiger”, her cat.

Ms. June is survived by seven children, Royce Robison Jr. (Janet), Sandra Robison and her friend, Sherry, Chester Robison (Jeanie), Patricia Robison, Frankie Robison, Jessie Robison and Michael Robison; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her stillborn daughter, Theresa June Robison and her best friend, Robert Gant.

Funeral Services for Ms. Robison were held at 10 A.M. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
