Robert "Bobby" Anthony, Jr.

May 11, 1949 — October 30, 2023

Piperton, Tennessee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Robert Jasper Anthony Jr, aged 74, a resident of Collierville, Tennessee, who went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2023. Born on May 11, 1949, to the late Robert and Madeline Anthony, Robert's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family and was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Jenica Campbell.

Robert, or Bobby, as he was affectionately known, was not just a name, but a beacon of strength, kindness, and devotion. He was a pillar of the Kirk Community, having spent his entire life as a local farmer, cultivating both the land and the bonds of his cherished community as a member of Kirk Baptist Church.

In the journey of life, Bobby was joined by his loving wife, Gwendolyn, for an incredible 55 years. Their love was a source of inspiration for all who knew them, a love that weathered all storms and illuminated the path for others. Bobby's love for Gwendolyn was a testament to the power of devotion and partnership.

Bobby is survived by three daughters whose lives he touched with his wisdom and love: Kimberlee Thornton (Rodney) of Millington, Tracey Remscheid (Eric) of Arlington, and Chelsea Burns (Justin) of Hendersonville. His legacy also extends to his dear son-in-law, Cory Campbell of Deltona, Florida.

Among his cherished family, Bobby leaves behind a sister, Patricia Whitley (Terry), and a brother, Eddie Anthony (Gina). He was the proud grandfather of Hannah Long (Ryan), Sarah Drawdy (Travis), Colin and Mallory Remscheid, Madeline Burns, and Victoria, Ainsley, Gabriella, and Brooklynn Campbell. He also welcomed great-grandchildren, Holland Long and Peter Drawdy, into his heart with open arms.

Bobby's love was not confined to his immediate family; he had an extensive circle of family members, all of whom he loved and cared for deeply. His warmth and kindness were a source of strength and comfort to all who were fortunate to know him.

Bobby's life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family, the joy of hard work, and the power of love. His memory will forever remain etched in our hearts, a reminder of the beauty that exists in the simplicity of life and the profound impact of a loving heart.

In his passing, we celebrate the life of a remarkable man who has left an indelible mark on our hearts and our community. Though he may have left this earthly realm, his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched and the love he shared.
