Rodney “Rod” Jenkins, 68, of Jackson, Tennessee, went home to Jesus peacefully on March 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rod will forever be remembered for his devotion to the Lord, his subtle sense of humor that would light up a room (along with that great big smile), and his endless dedication to his family and friends, especially his three boys.
Rod was born on October 19, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee to Quinton and Mary Kathryn (Susie) Jenkins. In 1973, he married his high school sweetheart, Jeri Parrot, who preceded him in death in 1997. Rod and Jeri built a beautiful life together in Somerville, Tennessee and Rod would agree that their greatest achievement was their three sons, Ryan, Joe and Josh.
Rod then met his love, Patricia “Pat” Mosier, of Silerton, Tennessee. They married in 1999. Rod and Pat moved to Jackson, Tennessee, where she devoted her life and love to Rod and his boys for 22 years.
Rod is survived by his wife, Patricia, brother, Richard (Regina), sons, Ryan (Ruffin), Joe (Amy), Josh (Stephanie), daughter, Jennifer, and grandchildren, Blake, Dalton, Jax, Carter, Elijah, and Raines.
Rod was preceded in death by his wife Jeri, parents, Quinton and Susie Jenkins, brother, Thomas and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Anyone who knew Rod knows how much he worried about other people, but never himself. He loved spending time with family, watching (and quoting) classic movies, praying for others, and cracking jokes to make others smile.
Graveside Services for Mr. Jenkins were held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2022 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Williston, Tennessee.

What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
