Sheila (Brown) Holden

August 22, 1964 — March 7, 2016

Sheila Brown Holden, age 51, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of Timothy Holden, departed this life Monday afternoon, March 7, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Holden were conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Jim Whitley, pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church in Laconia, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Holden was born August 22, 1964 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She received her education in the Fayette County School System and was married February 14, 1989 to Timothy Holden. She was a lifelong resident of the West Tennessee area and enjoyed preparing food and growing flowers. Known as the “neighborhood mom”, Mrs. Holden received much pleasure in special times with her grandchildren and caring for her family as well as feeding and caring for strangers.

Mrs. Holden is survived by her husband of 27 years, Timothy Holden of Somerville; her daughter, Britney Holden of Somerville; her son, Dustin Brown (Jessica) of Somerville; her father, Carl David Brown of Somerville; two brothers, Carl Brown (Tabitha) of Somerville, Clyde Brown of Somerville; and five grandchildren, Dana Brown, Elizabeth Pepper, Bailey Pepper, Carson Davis and Christian Brown.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Carl "Frankie" Brown, Nick Brown, Steven Holden, Robert Holden III, Justin German and Timothy Yager.
