With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Suresh Parshotamdas Patel, who left us on August 20, 2026, at the age of 56.

Sureshbhai was born on June 1, 1970, in Akhaj, Gujarat, India. The youngest of six brothers, he grew up surrounded by his five older brothers, Nathalal P. Patel, ShankarBhai P. Patel, BholaBhai P. Patel, BharatBhai P. Patel, and GovindBhai P. Patel, forming bonds and sharing experiences that remained an important part of his life. He carried with him the values of his upbringing: hard work, responsibility, devotion to family, and the belief that when something needed to be done, it should be done wholeheartedly.

Above everything else, Sureshbhai was a devoted husband and an incredibly loving father. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jayshree Patel, and their three daughters, Sonam Patel, Anjlee Patel, and Khushi Patel, who were the center of his world.

Those closest to him knew that so much of his life was spent working and providing for his family. He wanted his daughters to have every opportunity possible, and when it came to them, saying “no” simply wasn't in his nature. If his girls needed or wanted something, their dad would find a way. Their happiness was his happiness, and providing for them was one of the greatest expressions of his love.

Sureshbhai believed deeply in hard work. One of the principles he lived by was simple: never leave today's work for tomorrow. Whatever needed to be accomplished that day, he wanted to finish that day. He carried that determination throughout his life and worked tirelessly to build a life for the people he loved.

But behind that hardworking nature was also the happy-go-lucky man his family remembers so fondly.

He loved telling stories, especially stories about India, his younger days, and the adventures he shared with his brothers. Those stories brought laughter to the family and gave his daughters a glimpse into the life their dad lived before coming to America. Today, they have become treasured memories that his family will continue telling for him.

One family story captures Sureshbhai particularly well. When he first came to America, he worked at Dunkin' Donuts. Coming from India, where he was accustomed to good home-cooked meals and plenty to eat, he would call home and say how hungry he was and how difficult the adjustment was. Years later, it became one of those stories the family could tell with a smile.

And perhaps working around donuts wasn't entirely a bad fit because Sureshbhai loved sweets. Donuts, Indian mithai, or just about anything sweet could make him happy.

Then there was Costco.

To most people, Costco is simply a store. To Sureshbhai, going to Costco could practically be considered a hobby. He didn't necessarily need a reason to go. Sometimes, going to Costco was the reason. It was one of those wonderfully ordinary things about him that his family will now miss in an extraordinary way.

He also dreamed beyond work. He once told his daughter that he wanted to travel to Singapore, one of those conversations that may have seemed small at the time but now carries a special place in her heart.

And the Patel household would not be complete without Rani, the family's beloved dog and the girls' fur sibling. Rani held her own special place in Sureshbhai's heart and was another cherished member of the family he loved so deeply.

Sureshbhai's life was not defined by grand gestures. It was defined by the countless things he did every day: the long hours he worked, the responsibilities he never left unfinished, the stories he told, the sweets he enjoyed, the unnecessary Costco trips that became a family joke, and most importantly, the quiet and constant ways he showed his family that they would always come first.

His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot adequately describe.

To Jayshreeben, he was a husband and life partner.

To Sonam, Anjlee, and Khushi, he was Dad, the man who worked his entire life for them, protected them, provided for them, spoiled them, and loved them without condition.

To his five older brothers, he was their youngest brother, a bond rooted in their childhood together in Akhaj and carried with them across the years and miles.

And to his extended family and friends, he was Sureshbhai, a man whose stories, laughter, generosity, and presence will be deeply missed.

Although his time with us was far too short, the life he built and the love he gave will continue through his family.

His daughters will carry his lessons with them.

His family will continue telling his stories.

They will smile when someone suggests an unnecessary trip to Costco, think of him when sweets are passed around, remember the stories of Akhaj and India, and hear his reminder that today's work should never be left for tomorrow.

Most importantly, they will carry forward the love of a husband and father who spent his life doing what mattered most to him:

Taking care of his family.

Sureshbhai will forever remain in the hearts of his wife Jayshree, his daughters Sonam, Anjlee, and Khushi, his five older brothers, his beloved Rani, and all of his relatives, friends, and loved ones whose lives were touched by his.

As we gather to perform his final rites and say goodbye to his physical presence, we pray that Bhagwan grants his atma eternal peace and gives his family strength, courage, and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
