Todd Ronald Johnson

October 15, 1968 — May 26, 2025

Rossville, Tennessee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Todd Ronald Johnson, age 56, who went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2025. Born in Memphis on October 15, 1968, Todd was the beloved son of Ron and Bonnie Johnson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness through his family, including his grandmother Othoniel Underwood, brother Reed (fiancé Heather), his two cherished daughters, Hayla and Hope, their mother Linda, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Todd was a proud graduate of ECS, where he attended from kindergarten through his senior year (class of 1986), before continuing his education at Memphis State University. His professional journey was marked by a long and fulfilling career at FedEx, where he started in the hub and, through hard work and dedication, became a pilot in 1996, flying 727s. His roles later evolved to include trainer, captain, and line check airman for the 767s. Todd's love for his work was evident, and he was a blessing to his many coworkers and fellow pilots.

In his spare time, Todd found joy in playing the piano, having begun lessons at the tender age of five. He also had an immense passion for classic cars, restoring and modifying many throughout the years, earning several awards for his craftsmanship.

Todd's impact on those around him was profound; he was a loving and giving man who consistently put others before himself. His unwavering faith shone through in his kindness, warm smile, and positive spirit. Even during his courageous battle with cancer, Todd continued to minister to others, embodying a true spirit of resilience and compassion.

He was a valued member of Redeemer Evangelical Church, where he shared his faith and love with the community. Todd will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date, as we come together to honor and celebrate Todd’s remarkable life and the indelible mark he has left on our hearts.
