Vickie Smallwood Tart

Vickie Smallwood Tart, age 67, resident of Bartlett, Tennessee and wife of Mike Tart, departed this life Monday morning, June 9, 2025 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital.

Vickie was born July 23, 1957 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the daughter of William Smallwood and the late Betty Winborne Boone. She graduated from Warren Central High School in Vicksburg and continued her education at Hinds Junior College in Vicksburg, taking real estate courses.

Vickie was married May 23, 1975 to Mike Tart and she and her husband had a successful business for 26 years before her retirement in 2021. She attended New Hope Church in Bartlett and was a devoted wife, loving mother and amazing “Mamaw” who adored her grandchildren. Vickie enjoyed arts and crafts, going to the beach and flower gardening.

Mrs. Tart is survived by her husband, Mike Tart of Bartlett, TN; her daughter, Michelle Tart of Bartlett, TN; her son, Michael Tart (Emily) of Lakeland, TN; her father, William Smallwood of Vicksburg, MS; four sisters, Gayle Dolan of Vicksburg, MS, Judy Whitam (Cliff) of Collierville, TN, Gaye Stokes (Paul) of Vicksburg, MS and Kay McDaniel (Robert) of Vicksburg, MS; and two grandsons, Evan Tart and Luke Tart, both of Lakeland, TN.

A visitation for Mrs. Tart will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Minister Greg York of Oliver Creek Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Brandon Leonard, Derek Dolan, Justin McDaniel, Montana McDaniel, Michael Whitam, Joshua Whitam and Dylan Dement. Honorary pallbearers will include Derek Dolan.
