William D. Bomar a.k.a. Dennie was born on May 25, 1951.
Dennie had many passions during his life. Since childhood, he loved bluegrass, country music, and was an avid Memphis Tigers basketball fan. As an adult he developed HVAC Sales & Supply which gave him an outlet as an entrepreneur, Harley and Goldwing rides and his desire to navigate the American loop in his boat “ Sea Batical” were opportunities for him to explore, and woodworking tapped into his creative side.
Family was always a part of his heart. His love for his daughter Amy Leigh was a huge part of his joy, along with grandson Griffin and Granddaughter Olivia. His heart opened wider in the late 1990’s to embrace his sweetheart Carolyn, and her children, Shea, Anndrea, Adam and Alec later grandsons Christian, Chance and Isaac. All of whom he lovingly embraced as his very own. Dennie and Carolyn joyfully began their journey in marriage July 2001.
In 2022, Dennie sold his business and was ready to finalize his plans to travel with Carolyn on “Sea Batical”. Sadly, health issues began before that could happen. During which time his beautiful qualities of loyalty and patience were enhanced. His humor is not to be ignored as it was quick and kept others lighthearted even during his many health ups and downs.
The last phase of Dennie’s life was strengthened by his attending the Kingdom Hall with Carolyn. After visiting the World Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses along with spending time with the brothers and sisters in the local congregation, he wanted to know more about the love and peace he was seeing so he began his study of the scriptures in earnest. The highlight of his week was his personal Bible study. He stated many times after his Bible study that he had more inner peace than he had ever known. His favorite original song was “Living Peacefully in a Peaceless World” which he was preparing to play on his guitar.
His tender heart grew even softer, and his love would shine through in his generosity, humor, tears and smiles. He has left a huge hole in many hearts, and we look forward to welcoming him back in a healthy condition where he can continue to grow in his love and pursue his new passions.
