Earl Lewis Orwig, Jr.

Earl Lewis Orwig, Jr., age 60, resident of Olive Branch, Mississippi, departed this life Thursday afternoon, September 16, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi.

Earl was born September 3, 1961 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Earl Lewis Orwig, Sr. and Mary Louise Knox Orwig. He graduated from Evangelical Christian School in 1980 and was a longtime resident of Olive Branch, Mississippi. He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for many years.

Mr. Orwig is survived by his mother, Mary Knox Orwig of Atoka, TN; two brothers, Ernie Orwig (Diane) of Eads, TN and David Orwig (Chris) of Jackson, TN; two nieces, Abbey Orwig and Megan Rich; and his nephew, Ethan Orwig.

Memorial Services for Mr. Orwig will be held at 5 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Hickory Withe First Baptist Church.
