Obituary

Eva Ruth Goff Rankhorn, age 81, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and wife of the late Robert Forrest Rankhorn, departed this life Tuesday morning, March 3, 2020 in Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Eva Ruth was born July 17, 1938 in LaGrange, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Charles Louis Goff and Flossie Mae Smith Goff. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School Class of 1955 and was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow where she was a Sunday School teacher and organist for many years. She was married January 28, 1956 to Robert Forrest Rankhorn who preceded her in death on September 2, 2000 and was employed as an accountant for much of her life. Eva Ruth was a member of the Literacy Council and Business and Professional Women and enjoyed playing Rook with her friends and swimming.

Mrs. Rankhorn is survived by three daughters, Sheila Miller of Rossville, TN, Alicia Johnson of Whiteville, TN, Elaine Hurdle of Oakland, TN and her son, Wayne Rankhorn (Kimberly) of Rossville, TN. She was a proud grandma to her eight grandchildren, David Miller, Joseph Miller, Jeni Reisinger, Nikki Prescott, T.J. Johnson, Whitney Woods, Dustin Rankhorn, Brandon Rankhorn and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rankhorn were held at 1 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Moscow. The officiating ministers were Rev. Bryan Morris and Rev. Rex Wilburn. Interment followed in Bethlehem Cemetery at Moscow.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were David Miller, Joseph Miller, Brandon Rankhorn, Dustin Rankhorn, T.J. Johnson, Adam Reisinger, Joe Prescott and Brian Woods. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Yager, Steve Hurdle, Juan Chavira, Vip Lewis and Bubba Miller.
